Do you need to appoint an Attorney?

These documents are probably amongst the most important legal documents that you will ever sign, appointing an Attorney/Attorneys to help manage your finances and / or health decisions without taking away your independence.

Should you lose capacity having not made a Lasting Power of Attorney for Property and Financial Affairs, the Court of Protection may have to appoint a Deputy/Deputies to make those decisions for you. This is always more expensive and takes away your right to choose who should be appointed.

We can help guide you through these processes, providing you with advice and support.

Our fees for obtaining a Lasting Power of Attorney to deal with your finances or health & wellbeing is £500 plus VAT (£100 at 20% totalling £600) and the disbursement of a £92 court fee.

If you want both the finances and health & wellbeing LPA’s our fees are £700 plus VAT (£140 at 20% totalling £840) and the disbursements of two court fees of £92 each.

Deputyship Orders

Our fees for obtaining a Deputyship Order are £800 plus VAT (£160 at 20% totalling £960) plus typical disbursements of a £385 court fee; GP’s report (around £100) and security bond of £35.

Home Visits

We offer home visits at a rate of £140 plus VAT (£28 at 20% totalling £168) per visit plus mileage at a rate of 45p per mile.
