Isobel Weston is a Criminal Paralegal in the Criminal Defence Department at Phillips Solicitors. She is based primarily at the Mansfield office but also spends a significant amount of time working in Nottingham, supporting clients across Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas.
Isobel joined Phillips Solicitors in November 2024 and works on a wide range of criminal matters, including police station cases and Crown Court proceedings.
She holds an LLB, which she completed in 2021, before going on to achieve both her LLM and Bar Training Course (BTC) qualifications in 2023.
Prior to joining Phillips Solicitors, Isobel gained experience working at a number of well-established law firms across Nottinghamshire, including practices specialising in criminal defence and property law. This varied background has given her valuable experience of different areas of legal practice and client care.
Within criminal law, Isobel has a particular interest in serious and complex cases, including murder and manslaughter, serious drug and firearms offences, and fraud and money laundering matters. She enjoys the challenge of working through complex legal issues and helping clients navigate difficult situations.
One of the aspects of legal work that Isobel enjoys most is solving problems for clients and the fact that no two days are ever the same. She values the opportunity to continuously learn and develop her knowledge while assisting individuals through what can often be stressful and challenging circumstances.
Outside of work, Isobel enjoys reading, gaming, and keeping active. She is a keen follower of motorsport and enjoys spending her free time pursuing creative hobbies and interests.
